I just read that this great talent as passed away. His work was always awesome, and based on the few articles and interviews I read with and about him he was a very humble man. No one and I mean no one captured the high romance of adventure quite in the spirit of Al Williamson.
It's ironic that Williamson should die so soon after his lifelong friend and colleague Frazetta, but then appropriate too in a way.
